Walk-in Sessions & Townhall

As promised, here is the first information release. Some of you have the impression that Fridays are meeting sessions at the Sub. I'm sorry if there was miscommunication — Fridays are information release online, Tuesdays are the walk-in sessions that you can sign on at Peatix.

• Mar 1: The Substation hasn’t changed. Everything has.
  How does The Substation fit into the current landscape? How do we understand and update our vision?

• Mar 8: Artists have real stakes
  Singapore is going through change, artists shape our cultural conversations. How can we enable and connect artists to a larger audience?

• Mar 15: Multidisciplinary or Interdisciplinary
  We currently programme based on art forms like film, performing and visual arts, music. Now there are other dedicated programmes who do it better — we have history, what’s our future?

• Mar 24: Inclusivity or exclusivity
  What do these 2 terms mean here, and where does venue rental fit in?

• Mar 31: Townhall session
  Moderated by T. Sasitharan
  By the time you come here, we hope things are much clearer, and we can engage in a meaningful dialogue.

We hope people can read some info on Friday, have a think, and come to us on Tuesdays with their thoughts. You can come to the Random Room, or you can get into conversation with us electronically on FB mostly.

Here is the proposal that I submitted to the Board as part of the application process for Artistic Director. I have left it intact, but removed one section on financial and headcount changes.
