Through the mediums of live art installation, performance, movement and multi-media projection, two disabled artists from Access Path creatively respond to the poems created by migrant poets Hossain Razib and Rema Tabangura. The performance explores the lived experiences of those among us who live on the fringe. We ask questions about the truth of beauty which lies beneath the surface, and states of being equal in relation to living conditions and social positions.

--

Shall we talk about parity, not charity in a world that will never be ideally fair?

Shall we talk about the state of being equal, especially in relation to living conditions and social positions?

Shall we talk about their process, not plight?

Let’s not.

Let’s practice listening instead.

Let’s practice listening to the language of aliens in our nation. To their process, not their plight.

--

Both live and zoom performances will be audio described with creative captioning.

Black and white photo of a single story house and some plants in a sandy remote location, with a time stamp of 17:06. In front of the house is a smiling couple, a male in a t shirt and female with straight long black hair photoshopped together. Their faces are blackened. A text message in the top left corner reads: Hello I am so sorry but this photo was a photoshop as I had been separated from my husband 10 years ago. I had no photo of him.
