There was a time when punks, artists and other alternative creatives communicated through pen, paper, envelope and stamps, also known as “snail mail”.
Curated by Shaiful of Prohibited Projects and Zerox zine, ‘Post Punk’ is an interactive chronicling of letters written and replied to him just around the turn of the century.
Programme includes intimate and dramatized readings of actual letters, first hand story telling as well as open dialogues of the state of communication in modern times and its impact on alternative subcultures.
‘Post Punk’ will be free and easy in form, and not a show or lecture per se. Comprising of reading and workshop components of a fluid nature, attendees are expected to spend an average of 30-40 mins within the event.
Should the total attendees in the space remain within 8 persons, everyone is free to stay for as long or as briefly as they choose to. Our team will allow attendees in at their own discretion, and you may be asked to queue or wait.We seek your co-operation in keeping to the audience limit for a more holistic experience.
‘Post Punk’ is presented as part of ‘Proposals for Novel Ways of Being’.
