Digital Archive Workshop
27 August 2020, Thursday, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Cabinet of Curiosities (The archive room), level 2, The Substation
Tickets available via Peatix. (Limited to 4 in-person and 5 online participants)
Digital archives are not just for the galleries and museums. As artists, we can take the opportunity to narrate our own past works. Taking hold of your artistic storyline can also help us look at the health of your art practice. As we do a throwback during our Nation’s birthday this month, let’s spend a productive evening of creating our own archival website from scratch to publishing with other peers at The Substation.
The Substation believes that art education is a way to show how art can help us understand the world. It also inspires innovative thinking. If you are curious about archiving, sign up for the workshop early so we can pass instructions on materials needed.
No one will be turned away for the lack of funds, so please let us know if you are unable to afford a ticket. We have a pay-it-forward system which will ensure that those who are conducting the workshops are compensated for their time and those who wish to learn, can learn. All of the fees will go to the instructor of the workshop as we sustain our vibrant arts community in this difficult times.
